8 Great One Piece Funko Pops You Should Get Next

It’s 2024, and somehow Funko Pops are still a thing. I don’t know how, considering whenever I walk into a Goodwill, Salvation Army, GameStop, or Half Price Books I see a ton for under $5, but here we are. I guess some folks still like them, which is fine, so let’s go over some of the One Piece Funko Pops that are out now that you could bring home next. (Or not, because honestly some of the recent and newly available ones are… I mean… you know you can get a cool Megahouse or Bandai Namco figure for $20-40 too, right?)

Brook (Bonekichi)

Thanks for joining me on this journey into my own personal hell! We’re going to start our suggestions out with a One Piece Funko Pop that, I… okay, I wouldn’t pay money for this. But I admire the concept behind it, Brook is a cool character, and maybe if someone gave me one I wouldn’t immediately see if someone else I knew wanted it. Brook is dressed like a traditional Japanese ghost for it, complete with triangle headband, kimono, tabi socks, and geta. Honestly, it’s such a great design that looking at this is making me wish the (much cooler) Bandai Tamashii Nations Honekichi Brook isn’t over $70 (Amazon).

Oh, right. We’re talking about Funko Pops. This one is usually $14.99.

Child Big Mom

Okay, I hate this One Piece Funko Pop so much. First, it’s the teeth. That big, gaping mouth with 16 teeth is bad. It’s unsettling and ugly, and I don’t like it. Also, her outfit is so gaudy. Also, I don’t like her outfit! Yes, there are a lot of weird outfits in the series, but the normal Charlotte Linlin dress isn’t too bad. But the handling of the pattern here makes it worse. Yuck.

If you’re okay with this being in your house, you can bring it home for $19.99.

Hungry Big Mom

How did Funko make this character worse? To be clear, I don’t hate Big Mom! I think she has some great moments in the One Piece anime and manga! But there’s something about these renditions that just… I can’t. You know? Especially since this one made her fiery hair look so weird, and now there’s a too-long tongue snaking out between the 12 visible teeth. Geez.

If you can find this one, she tends to cost $29.99, but somehow she also seems to sell out?

Monkey D. Luffy (Amazon)

You know how you think Funko Pop eyes couldn’t get any worse sometimes? Like the expressionless, hollow gaze stares into your soul and reminds you of your greatest sins? Well, somehow the next Luffy One Piece Funko Pop makes that worse! While I appreciate Funko not singling out every one of his teeth in his mouth, it starts being weird due to how he’s stretching his mouth way too far to one side. But then it gets worse, because I think he’s trying to show joy? But those eyes are creepy slits. Combine that with the already-chewed meat, and I’m worried he’d come to life, jump off a shelf, and nosh on my toes. Weird.

He’ll cost $12.99 on Amazon when he comes out in November 22, 2024, and he probably won’t stretch his mouth too wide to eat each of your fingers while you sleep.

Tony Tony Chopper

Okay, I felt bad after subjecting you all to three potentially disturbing One Piece Funko Pop figures. So here’s another one that genuinely isn’t bad. In fact, I’d almost say it is the one character who actually looks good in Funko’s style. It’s a happy Chopper! He’s smiling in a non-threatening way! Even though “Chopper” is in his name, he doesn’t have unsettling teeth or mouth-shapes like the Big Mom or Luffy figures we just saw! Considering how unsettling the proportions and style for this line can be in certain circumstances, he’s looking pretty good!

He’ll show up in September 2024, and you can bring him home for $11.99.

Sanji

Sanji

Have you ever wondering what it was like to be a person who gets cat-called, stalked, and generally harassed just because you happen to be good looking? The next One Piece Sanji Funko Pop lets you bring that experience into your home!

Jokes aside, I honestly don’t hate this Sanji figure. I don’t want to own it, but I honestly think it is sort of cute. Perhaps because even though it is a Funko Pop, the heart-shaped eyes mask the normally dead-inside ones that are a hallmark of the line. Also, I do like him as a character, and he’s especially handled well in the live-action adaptation

He’ll be released in November 2024, and you can buy him for $11.99.

Nami Crying

Have you ever wondered why certain figures get made? Like maybe a weird pose is captured? That’s what happened with the Nami One Piece Funko Pop coming out in November 2024. She’s wearing Luffy’s straw hat, which is fun. However, it is also set right during the Arlong Park Arc, so she’s clutching her now-wounded left arm, sitting on the ground, and sobbing these rivers of translucent tears. I suppose it’s a moment you’d want to remember, but it’s also just so sad.

It will cost $11.99.

Yamato

Want a Funko Pop that, no matter what time of day it is, it will constantly remind you it exists? Well, there’s one for that! It features Yamato in his Ancient Zoan Devil Fruit form, ready to attack. The ice encircling him glows, provided you put it in a place where it gets direct light during the day. It’s also only available at Entertainment Earth

You can get this version of Yamato for $34.99 in November 2024.

The One Piece anime is on both Netflix and Crunchyroll. Viz Media handles the manga outside of Japan. The live-action adaptation is on Netflix.
